I wonder if we were cheaters and good at it how many more points we might have? I mean proper Athletico level cheating or even Liverpool.

While refs get away with being shit, they will become worse.

But, at some point, enough will be enough, and there will be a shake up.

Can't come soon enough.

Can't believe we've actually got fans who want our players to take a dive or go down too easily.

One the reasons I like Antonio, and this Moyes side, is that they are generally a bit tougher than most sides and don't fall around like actresses during a deathbed scene.

No thanks. Keep doing what you do, Micky. At the end of your career, you'll be able to look at yourself in the mirror and know you did it right.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
Was a moment in the first half where Antonio was running into the box, took a touch of the ball left, Fernandino went to ground and slid in for the tackle (which no actual defender should do). It wasn't particularly quick, Micky could see it coming. He took that touch and then decided to avoid the legs coming towards him, skipping over them. Seconds later he's given the ref a chance to give them a foul.

As soon as he saw the non defender mistakenly go to ground and those boots heading towards him, it's time to make sure there is contact and to draw the foul. Ref would not have had a choice but to give a pen.

If Antonio could do the roll and the 80's break dancing finger click thing that these foreigners are doing he would be more successful

Look at the replay on MOTD this evening and notice the foul on Coufal by Grealish before Dawson is near Jesus. It is impossible for VAR to have failed to see this. A free out was the correct call.

Just a little shout at Cresswell today after all the shit he has had recently. Reacted quickest after Fabianski's penalty save and cleared before an oncoming City striker. The little things sometimes go unnoticed!

I’ve just seen the Antonio miss

I’m not sure what we are more desperate for

A lb or a striker

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Man City - Official Match Thread FT 2-2
There's far too many refereeing inconsistencies over too many games favouring the "big six" for it not to be something that seriously needs investigating. Antonio was pushed and pulled, kicked and clotheslined today without getting awarded a free kick. Laporte kung fu kicked Lanzini in the 2nd half. No card. The crowd reacting twice to bad refereeing old school style says it all.

What counts is they know they were lucky to get the point at the London.

I think Anthony Taylor should be congratulated. Now that Mike Dean and Jonathan Moss are retiring, he is officially the WORST referee in the land.

A great result. It could have been even better if Antonio didn’t make a complete balls up of his chance at 2-1. Grealish’s goal was a bit lucky. He hit it into the ground and it went through Dawson’s legs. Bad judgement from Coufal for the equaliser. I don’t think either “fouls” were penalties. It always looks worse in slow motion but they were dives. Justice was done in the end.

Agree with Elm... he didn't give two pretty obvious penalties against us, so probably wouldn't even make the top 50 worst or most biased refereeing performances I've seen.

Coufal was crap, and whilst can't blame him too much for the goal, he shouldn't have been on the pitch to be in that situation. Johnson has overtaken him by a wide margin, for me.

Antonio was outstanding, his best in a long while. But, and I'm sorry to say this, actual LOL at his attempt. Utterly woeful

My opinion on Anthony Taylor, for what it’s worth.

He didn’t give City a penalty in the first half. He did not give the penalty that they were awarded by VAR in the second half. Both should have been given by him, doesn’t make him corrupt, that makes him not very good.

He did not give us many decisions that were pretty blatant, does that make corrupt, most probably not, again just a poor official.

At the end of each half he waited (after the allotted injury time) and allowed City to finish their attack before blowing the whistle to end each half. Does that make him corrupt.

Yes it fucking does.

Pub bigot

No corruption with refereeing in this country….some ref’s are just better than others. Anthony Taylor initially didn’t give the pen for a stonewall…he missed the fouls on Antonio….. the game is quick, the players are well versed at conning the ref..sometimes you look at the slo mo, no contact, VAR was actually used well today

The Everton/Brentford game would be an interesting one to debate decisions wise if you swapped Everton for Liverpool. Without a doubt the shirt tug on Richarliason if you swap him for Salah, Salah goes down and Pool get a penalty and the sending off never happens. Simply the teams at the top have the cute players who buy fouls and the Referees fall for them. Salah, Grealish, even Man United and Ronaldo. You don't get anything if you are honest.
